home-like and functions much like a family which establishes an immediate sense
of community for the child and the family. We embrace the Reggio Philosophy
in our school, and establishing a sense of community is very important. The children
are acknowledged as being an integralpart of our program and are encouraged to
take part in daily activities such as cleaning and caring for the toys. They learn
a sense of importance and responsibility as they take part in the activities while
learning skills ranging from sorting objects to developing gross motor skills. Our
daily reports give the family a record of the daily events of their
toddler. Information as to the mealtimes, nap times and special activities is
shared for the family to play a role in the child's daily routine. The teachers
and management team are available for any questions or concerns regarding the
care and the age appropriate development. |
