Serendipity Learning Center is the best for daycare in the area. My son has attended there since he was 6 months old and he is currently 2 years old. The center has a homey feel and provides an excellent learning environment. The staff truely cares for and loves each of the children. They have been dedicated to assisting my child develop and learn. Each of teachers spend a significant amount of time developing weekly lesson plans, but also allow time for free exploration. My son has learned baby signs, manners, respect for others, how to use words to express his emotions and how to be helpful from them. I also receive detailed reports about what he did during his day along with cute or bad things he may have done. As a first time Mom, I value the fact that they always take time to talk with me about my son and provide suggestion / advice for all questions I might have.

I have 3 kids, so I have experience! I have dealt with many care centers and I have even worked in a few. When choosing a place for my youngest, I visited 4 centers. My son was shy, didn't show personality, and didn't interact.. UNTIL we walked in Serendipity! My son opened up, played with the kids and even showed affection to the teachers. I was sold at that point. I did however check the CPS website to look for reports and problems, and to my happiness there was nothing to concern me. My son adjusted with in days. I like how they nap with the lights low, very peaceful music and easy wonderful windows for lighting.

The teachers were super easy to talk with and always wrote such a great desciption of my child's day. I enjoy Melinda and she has always been very friendly and talkative with me. She is very flexible too.

I like that they don't move your child based on their bday, but rather their development. My husband and I are very pleased with this place!

I am a kindergarten teacher and love sending my 20 month old to school here. He has had the same teachers since he was 4 months old and I truly see the love the teachers have for the toddlers. I love the homelike setting. The school has large classrooms and keeps the numbers low. The prices are very fair compared to nearby child-care centers. The teachers here are well trained and and are always willing to help when advice is needed.

My son is 2yrs old and started Serendipty in October. None of my children had ever been to a daycare facility and he was the first. I started by calling all daycares in the area and stubbled upon Serendipty. The thing that sealed the deal with me is that the director Melinda and another teacher actually waited for me after the daycare was closed just to meet my son and introduce him to his classroom and meet with him before he actually started. I was so impressed on how much they cared about how he would feel and also how much it reassured me that he was in the right place. My son only attended for 1 month and I had to withdraw him do to financial reasons. 2 months went by and I was able to bring him back. Melinda the director and staff were very understanding and took my son back in with open arms and allowed me to work with in my budget. I have never in all my life met more understanding, dedicated, and professional teachers and staff when it comes to the wellfare of children. I am truly honored to have my son apart of this facility. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

My 2 year old has been attending Serendipity Learning Ctr for a few months now & absolutely LOVES it! Its so calming for me to know that I am leaving my daughter somewhere that she is comfortable and happy. She comes home singing songs & talking about her experiences throughout the day. She is doing great and has really blossomed since beginning at Serendipity. I was referred there by a friend and am so very glad that I gave them a chance.

Their menu choices are healthy so I know my daughter is getting a great start on how she should eat, not only at home, but at daycare too. This is particularly important to me, and should be for every parent, considering the child obesity rate these days. We have to teach our children the right ways to eat early on & the staff at Serendipity understands that and really pushes a well thought out, healthy menu for the children.

They have a wonderful staff who really is there for the kids! My child loves her teachers! How many parents can say that!??!?!?!
If you are looking at and interviewing daycares, you should totally start here at Serendipity, you will not be let down. I tell everyone I know how great my child's daycare is & I wouldnt have her anywhere else!

I cannot express how truly happy we are with this Day Care facility. My son is thriving there; he genuinely loves his teachers.

When we first looked into daycares I toured/ played with my son and the staff at 8 daycares in the Cedar Park area. None of them measured up to Serendipity.

Serendipity had the correct ratio (teacher: child) for my son's age group; 2 schools had several extra children per teacher. Be sure to pay attention to the number of children per teacher, it varies by age and your pediatrician can tell you the correct ratio for your child's age group.
At serendipity the infant/toddler room's teachers spoke clearly and properly. I think this is very important when a child is just learning to speak. It is important that they are able to understand and learn the correct pronunciation for the words they are learning along with proper grammar. This will set them up for success later on in life; communication skills are extremely important in success, it is never too soon for them to start learning.

Serendipity's rates were comparable to the other daycares we looked at. I feel safe leaving my child there since they practice adequate security measures, one cannot enter without seeing a staff member. Location was also perfect for us.

My son started day care at 18mos and was very reluctant to attend at first as he was used to staying home with mommy all day. The staff was very caring and supportive during this transition in all of our lives. He adjusted very well and drop offs were no longer an issue after the first few weeks. He was also doing quite a bit of the sign language they taught him by the end of the first week (eat, milk, all done, etc); it helped communicate what he wanted when we still didn't understand all of what he said. He has been attending Serendipity now for 6mos and has even transitioned to the older classroom without a problem. I love how friendly everyone is there and how almost all of the teachers (from other age groups) know my son's name. Since my son has started attending I am more aware of how loving and nurturing the environment really is.

The director, Melinda, is a lovely woman who really cares about her students and about what is going on in their lives. All of the staff is excellent in my opinion; my son is the most important person in my life and I wouldn't trust him with just anyone.

As a former teacher at Serendipity and now a Mom, I look back at the center and only wish I could find one like Serendipity. The owner always listened to parents' needs as well as the teachers. She is one of the only owners I have EVER met that really do look at the best interest of the children and is always looking at bettering the center and the programs.

I have had all three of my children attend Serendipity over the past 8 years, and I have found the entire staff and the director to be extremely professional, warm and caring. The educational programs they offer exeed any of the competition out there. There is a sense of family and pride which is hard to find in this world! Three of my friends have used this center and all have been extremely pleased with the personal care the entire staff give the children. I highly recommend this center!

I am sorry a parent had problems with Serendipity because I have had nothing but good feelings about it. As a grandparent I am probably more critical than a parent because my grandchildren can do no wrong (yeah right) and I have had zero problems with the teachers or the director. My grandchild is about to go to public school and is ready, I feel because of the teaching she has gotten here...the turnover has been more than it should be but that's everywhere you go. The director has always shown caring and understanding in every situation I have seen her involved in. I will be sorry to say goodbye to this family oriented school. Thanks to Serendipity for getting my grandchild ready for the "big school".

I have sent my children to several schools. Most were good but with a few problems as to be expected. Then I found Serendipity Learning Center. They have been amazing! My daughter is a handful and my son is autistic. It used to be a daily battle with the two of them. After settling in at this school, they have been so good and happy! The staff at Serendipity actively teaches social skills during a "community time" and it has made such a huge difference in both of my kids' behavior. They are FAR more manageable both at school and at home. Plus, the amenities are great, the whole staff communicates well and frequently, and the curriculum is exciting and challenging.
